6th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Introduction(by the Presider):Jesus calls us to live a love shaped by integrity of heart. Aware of our need for God’s grace to live this call, we turn now to our loving Father.

  1. For the Church: that she may guide all people to live according to the spirit of God’s law. Lord, hear us.
  2. For the Diocese of Cork and Ross: that, guided by the Holy Spirit, it may be renewed in faith and mission. Lord, hear us.
  3. For those who seek wisdom: that God may reveal the truth to all who are searching. Lord, hear us.
  4. For vocations to the priesthood and religious life:that those whom God is calling may respond with generous hearts. Lord, hear us.
  5. For those pushed to the edges of society:that we may challenge injustice and exclusion by responding with compassion and genuine care. Lord, hear us.
  6. For peace in our world: that God may bring an end to war and violence, and teach us to live as peacemakers. Lord, hear us.

The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N & N): that they may share in the promised joy of the resurrection and the glory of eternal life. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion(by the Presider): Faithful and loving Father, you place before us the way of life and blessing. Hear the prayers we offer in trust, through Christ our Lord.
